Some of y’all have already met Monte—Red’s dad and Atlanta’s very own citizen stargazer. He majored in astrophysics, is a self-proclaimed nerd, and came out last year to talk to you about his telescopes.

Well, I’ve convinced him to come back and talk about one of my favorite space topics - GALAXIES!!!! We’ll get into the history and science of how we figured out that galaxies exist beyond the Milky Way, why galaxies rotate in such strange ways, and how scientists estimate how many galaxies are actually out there.

Come prepared to ask lots of questions—it’s going to be out of this world.

The event is free, but we’d really appreciate an accurate headcount. Please reserve tickets for the number of people who plan to attend so we can prepare accordingly.
