Across the centuries and around the world, crime stories have always fascinated people from all walks of life-- but who are we kidding? The real watchers, those truly in the know, have always been the ladies. Join us for an evening of true crime tales of killers and trailblazers, brutal bitches and awesome ass kickers, presented by Sarah Cailean. There will be talk of killers-- both infamous and obscure cases-- as well as women who have never gotten their proper due as investigators, forensic scientists, and the leaders in our current renaissance of true crime media.

About Sarah: With more than a decade in professional law enforcement as a police officer and sex crimes investigator, plus another decade in academia with research focused on serial killers and serial sexual predators, Sarah Cailean has now begun work in documentary television. She has created, produced, and hosted the CNN series 'Hell in the Heartland: What Happened to Ashley and Lauria', and serves as a regular correspondent and expert commentator on HLN and Cuomo for breaking news in crime. This year, her 8-part investigative podcast series 'Why Can’t We Talk About Amanda’s Mom?' has been a consistently top ten podcast on the Apple and Spotify charts.

We'll have our food menu available, with the best hot dogs in town, and have over 200 types of beer, wine, cider, mead, hard kombucha & seltzer and non-alcoholic options for everyone.

Ample, free parking is available in the Grant Park Clinic and behind the church*, to the right of Red’s (south). You can also park in front of Red’s, across the street on Warmbreeze Rd SE, or street parking off Benteen Way (0.1 mile away). Do not park in front of Iglesia Pentecostal el Tabernaculo de Restauracion or across the street on Warmbreeze Rd. You will be towed.

International Womens Month Bingo

BINGO FUNDRAISER
Celebrating Women in Beer
Wednesday, March 25th at 7 pm
Directly benefiting the ACLU

Corndogs all day!

We’ve been planning this one for a while, and it’s finally happening.

Join us for five rounds of old-school bingo, a playlist packed with female artists, and bingo prizes from a female founded local brewery, Round Trip! Hosted by two incredible ladies - Latreace Harris, The Beery Godmother and Stephanie Grant, of She Loves Craft! - longtime friends and leaders in the beer world. Throughout the night we’ll also be highlighting beers, wines, and ciders in our coolers from female founders, owners, and brewers in the coolers.

100% of bingo card donations will go directly to the ACLU, whose work protecting civil liberties has long supported women and continues to fight for the rights and freedoms of all people.

The evening will also spotlight “Kaleidoscope,” a special collaboration celebrating International Women’s Month. Created by LaTreace and Stephanie, Kaleidoscope brings together eight women brewers from across the United States to collaborate on eight unique beers. Each beer reflects the story behind the brewer: how she found her way into the industry, the challenges she’s navigated, and the community that helped along the way.

Suggested donations for bingo cards:
$5 for one bingo card
$10 for three bingo cards
$20 for five bingo cards

Come celebrate great beer and the women helping lead the way!

Galaxies with Monte

doors, drinks, food 6 pm

show starts at 7 pm

outside show - dress warm!

Some of y’all have already met Monte—Red’s dad and Atlanta’s very own citizen stargazer. He majored in astrophysics, is a self-proclaimed nerd, and came out last year to talk to you about his telescopes.

Well, I’ve convinced him to come back and talk about one of my favorite space topics - GALAXIES!!!! We’ll get into the history and science of how we figured out that galaxies exist beyond the Milky Way, why galaxies rotate in such strange ways, and how scientists estimate how many galaxies are actually out there.

Come prepared to ask lots of questions—it’s going to be out of this world.

The class is free, but we’d love a headcount so we can prepare accordingly. Get your tickets here!

Dolly! Cover! Band! Sixteen Dolly classics brought to you by our neighbors, Questionable at Best.

In honor of Dolly dropping a brand new single that day, “Son of Jolene,” we’re hosting a Dolly cover band the same night to celebrate.

She’s 80 years old, still releasing new music, and I’m pretty sure she is the reason Taco Bell brought back the Mexican Pizza (thank GOD!). Iconic.

Hosted by Yazoo Brewing - one of the best breweries out of Nashville and big Dolly fans themselves. We’ll have their Pacific Pale Ale on draft, an annual release, and if I remember anything from last year, it’s on point.

Archive Atlanta - Live Show

Archive Atlanta - Live Show

Doors, drinks, food 6 pm

Show starts at 7 pm

$10/ticket - buy your ticket here!

Note: This is the same show as Victoria’s February 9th event at Red’s. You’re absolutely welcome to grab tickets again, but it will be the same program. We sold out in three days last time, so we’re bringing the show back due to a long waitlist.

How well do you really know what surrounds Red’s Beer Garden?

Join Victoria Lemos, of Archive Atlanta, to uncover the layered history of Atlanta and the neighborhoods of Chosewood Park, Benteen Park and Boulevard Heights, where railroads, industry, and tight-knit communities helped shape the city’s south side. We’ll also explore the story of the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary and its impact on the area.

Together, these overlooked histories reveal how much of Atlanta’s past is hiding in plain sight.

Tickets are only $10/person. Non-refundable. All ages!

The more tickets you have, the more chances you have to win! Drink up! Tickets will reset every hour, so tickets collected from 1:00 - 1:59 pm enter the 2:00 pm drawing, any tickets collected between 2:00 - 2:59 pm will go into the 3:00 pm giveaway, and so on.

SCHEDULE OF FESTIVITIES

12:30 pm - Early Bird Ticket Drawing

  • Anyone who buys a drink between 12 - 12:30 pm will be entered into a drawing for a pair of GA Ren Fest tickets. Arrive early and try your luck.

  • Town Crier Contest - Round 2: Another brave soul takes their turn announcing to the kingdom.

4 pm - Costume & Town Crier Contests

Just before the singing begins, we’ll bring back our three Town Crier finalists and the crowd will decide who earns the title of Red’s Official Town Crier.

6 pm - Final Ticket Drawing

  • We’ll wrap up the day by drawing the final Ren Fest ticket winner.

Love Bluegrass?

Bring an instrument to join or come for a night of some fun tunes. We’ll plan to be outside as long as the weather holds up - but if it’s too chilly or damp, the music moves inside and the dining room gets a little twangy, just like we like it. Always rain or shine!

Free to attend and/or play! Open to all levels of players. For any questions, email John at jamband@usa.com
