One of our amazing regulars, Abby, has been hosting an LGBTQ+ book club at Red’s for the past couple years. A few months ago, she came to us with an idea: what if we built a queer little library right here at Red’s? And now... it’s happening! What started as one idea is now a volunteer-led, collective effort powered by a whole crew of folks who believe in the vision.
We’re kicking things off with a Queer Book Swap at 6:30 pm - bring a book, take a book! Then at 7:30 pm, it’s time for bingo, hosted by our friends Adam and Kieran from Trans Joy. Bingo card donations will go directly toward building the Red’s Reading Rainbow: a queer little library for the community. Our goal is to raise $500 to purchase and install it, and anything extra will be donated to Trans Joy, a local nonprofit offering accessible grants for gender-affirming care and comprehensive support, including medical, mental health, and essential resources. If you are not able to attend the fundraiser, you can donate here.
Expect five rounds of bingo, fun queer trivia sprinkled in, and TONS of raffle giveaways from local businesses (we're talking over $1K of gift cards and prizes). Each bingo winner will get a mixed six pack from Maui Brewing and other fun local prizes.

She’s pretttttty great, so you know she’ll be curating the perfect playlist for our bingo night.
100% of bingo card sales will be donated directly to the local @craftedforaction 2025 Crafted Fellows Microgrant. This is an accelerator program designed to support BIPOC entrepreneurs in the beverage industry. So far, it has awarded $13,500 in microgrants and over $5,000 in in-kind support, while also offering professional development, mentoring, and networking opportunities to 14 promising ventures. The Easter Bunny is hiding over 300 eggs in our beer garden full of candy AND 10 golden eggs will be hidden for your chance to win a pair to tickets to Sleigh Bells at Terminal West on June 1st!
Anyone who shows up and wants to hunt (must be 21 years or older SRY - kiddos can cheer you on!), will be able to hunt! We’re not turning any of ya away! But, the folks who show up first, will hunt first. Folks who show up last, will hunt last. Those who hunt first, will have the shortest amount of time. Those that hunt last, will have the longest amount of time.
If you care for the details:
First group of fifteen = 15 seconds to hunt
Second group of fifteen = 30 seconds to hunt

Battle of the Neighborhood Bands 2025
Sunday, April 13th
2 pm - 6 pm
Year Three…who will it be?
Chosewood Park has taken the crown two years in a row.
Will they win again, or is it time for a new neighborhood to become champion?!
All six competing bands have at least one person who lives in our surrounding neighborhoods. They’ll have 25 minutes on stage and must play at least 2 originals and 1 cover. The audience will choose the winners the old-fashioned way… via a ballot box. Democracy! Ballots will be cast at 5:45 pm, and winners will be announced at 6 pm.
