Pride Party!

PRIDE PARTY

Sunday, June 14th

12 - 6 pm

free and not ticketed!

PRIDE GLASSWARE GIVEBACK:
All glassware proceeds will be donated to Atlanta Pride’s grantmaking initiative, “Pride Across the Peach State”, which focuses on uplifting, supporting, and amplifying the efforts of local & grassroots Pride organizations across Georgia. This year’s glass is designed by an Atlanta-based queer artist - Walker Carney! Glassware is first come, first served, and is available starting June 14th at noon.

FUN:
Baby Dee is taking over Red’s for Pride! She’ll be in the garden from 12–6 pm - mingling, MC’ing games, dropping in a drag performance or two, and serving up sass like it’s her full-time job. Expect hot dogs, inflatable bananas and a few things that will make more sense once you see them. And of course, doing it all in platform Crocs because we are in mulch and respect practical beauty.

Atlanta Freedom Bands will also be stopping by for a pop-up performance! How’d we get so lucky!?

BEER:
We’ll be highlighting any and all breweries and beverages that financially support LGBTQ+ non-profits with stickers and signage throughout the party. Look for one or two on draft, as well!

Brooklyn Brewing

Fremont Brewing

Bluejacket Brewery

Monday Night Brewing

Allagash Brewing

Anxo Cider

Atlanta Hard Cider

Botanist and Barrel Cider

Aval Cider

Kea Kombucha

Athletic N/A Brewing

Senorita THC

Cycling Frog

We’ll be open till 9 pm, kitchen closing at 8:30 pm.

We'll have our event food menu available, with the best hot dogs in town, and have over 200 types of beer, wine, cider, mead, hard kombucha & seltzer and non-alcoholic options for everyone (beverage list here).

Sarah Cailean's True Crime: Tales in the Key of Swift

Sarah Cailean's True Crime: Tales in the Key of Swift

doors drinks food 6 pm
show starts at 7 pm

Buy your tickets here, $17/each

...Ready For It?

Nice to meet you, where you been? We could show you incredible things... namely some twisting, turning, and shocking cases, as told to you by an actual profiler and homicide investigator -- who just so happens to be a devoted Swifite.

If you’re the type of person who knows that nothing good starts in a getaway car,and you’ve got a list of names in red, underlined, this is your true crime era. We are calling all armchair detectives, masterminds, and mad women to join us for a night that trades friendship bracelets and forensic files.

We know you remember the details all too well, so you’ll get new angles and new analysis on some infamous cases, and learn all about some you’ve probably never heard of. Whether you’re intrigued by a nightmare dressed like a daydream, or you’re just planning to draw the cat eye sharp enough to kill, this event is tailored for you.

What to expect:

● Deep dives into cold cases that will have you asking, "Who’s afraid of little old me?"

● Trivia that tests if you can spot the illicit affairs and the lies.

● Themed drinks that will help you tolerate the champagne problems of the killers and con men.

Don't wait until midnights to secure your spot. It would be a cruel summer if you missed out on the most arrestingly fun night of the year. Bring your squad—because while we can't promise you'll find a London boy, we can promise a community that loves a mystery just as much as you do.

Long story short: It’s going to be a marvelous time. Grab your ticket, grab your passport and my hand—we’re going to solve it.

———-

Sarah Cailean is a nationally recognized criminal behaviorist and cold case homicide investigator, award-winning podcast host, and creator of a true crime variety show, Speaking of Crime with Sarah Cailean, for which she travels around the country hosting interactive true crime lectures. She is creator and host of the award-winning podcasts including: Why Can’t We Talk About Amanda’s Mom?, Who Killed Jennifer Judd?, and Who Took Misty Copsey? on ID Network. She also served as co-creator, executive producer, and host of the four-part docu-series Hell in the Heartland: What Happened to Ashley and Lauria on HLN. She is a guest contributor for HLN, CNN, and NewsNation, and contributes regularly to programming and investigative specials as a consultant on breaking or ongoing cases in the news.

Sarah is currently serving as a special investigator with the both the Mobile County (AL) Sheriff’s Office, and the Gainesville (FL) Police Department, leading the investigations into multiple cold case homicides. She is  also working with Big Swing Productions, Kyra Sedgwick’s production company, to develop a scripted series based on her life and investigations. A former police officer with a decade of service in federal and municipal law enforcement agencies, Sarah’s expertise is in the areas of serial predation (serial rape and serial homicide) and domestic violence. She is an investigative member of the Vidocq Society, the Cold Case Foundation, and the Super Sleuths case and research group co-founded by Sarah and the legendary Dr. Ann Burgess.

When she's not traveling around the country consulting on cold cases, Sarah can be found in her favorite city, Philadelphia, with her daughter and a house full of pets—most importantly, a Corgi named George.

Moonchild: Acoustic / Instrumental Iron Maiden Show

Moonchild - an acoustic Iron Maiden cover band - will be playing at Red’s on Saturday, June 13th at 7 pm.

Not only do they live in the neighborhood, but they’re also some of our longest-running and favorite regulars. Go check out their page! I am personally VERY EXCITED.

So for all the heavy metal / Iron Maiden fans and for those of you who just appreciate some really solid acoustic guitar work, see ya there.🤘

We’ll be out in the beer garden with some lovely weather! Inside if raining.

Camp Themed Trivia

QUIZ ME S’MORE!

Camp Themed Trivia Night

Thursday, June 11th at 7 pm

no limit on the # of folks in your team

We’re teaming up with Colleen and Hannah with Camp Full Moon for a camp-themed trivia night that’s basically summer camp nostalgia, but with beer and no curfew (except that we close at 10 pm).

Trivia Themes:

Expect rounds on camp movies and TV, name that campfire sing-along, outdoors and wildlife trivia, nostalgic 90s/early 2000s snacks, and a little Capital-C Camp for the drama - fashion, pop culture, and over-the-top moments. It’s not just for people who went to camp - it’s for anyone who knows their way around a throwback snack or a friendship bracelet.

Prizes:
1st, 2nd and 3rd place gets $40, $30 and $20 gift certificates to Red’s. 1st place also gets $100 off a Camp Full Moon registration!

Who’s hosting?

If you’re not familiar with Camp Full Moon - it’s an adult summer camp in the North Georgia mountains. Think campfires, crafts, archery, workshops…just with better drinks and better stories. Their next one is October 15–18…wanna go!?

Come hang, bring a team, and see if your childhood camp obsession finally pays off!

Board Game Giveaway Day

Board Game Swap

Sunday, May 31st

1 - 4 pm

Some incredible regulars are downsizing their board game stash and offered to donate them to Red’s - THANK YOU AMI AND CHRIS!!! It’s more than we can keep, so we’re turning it into a day where you can eat a hotdog and leave with a game.

We’ll have 50+ games set up in the garden. Swing by anytime between 1 - 4 pm and grab one (or a few?… let’s say a 3 game limit per household). First come, first served.

All we ask is that for every game you take, you donate at least $1 to Red’s Reading Rainbow - our Queer Little Library. Another incredible regular, Abby, keeps it stocked when it runs low, so let’s build her book fund back up. Any amount helps (thank you, Abby)!

Want to bring a game/s and swap instead? Sure! Just make sure it’s in good condition - act like your mother raised you right.

Archive Atlanta - Live Show

SOLD OUT - email red@redsbeergarden.com to be on the waitlist.

Doors, drinks, food 6 pm

Show starts at 7 pm

$10/ticket - buy your ticket here!

Note: This is the same show as Victoria’s February 9th event at Red’s. You’re absolutely welcome to grab tickets again, but it will be the same program. We sold out in three days last time, so we’re bringing the show back due to a long waitlist.

How well do you really know what surrounds Red’s Beer Garden?

Join Victoria Lemos, of Archive Atlanta, to uncover the layered history of Atlanta and the neighborhoods of Chosewood Park, Benteen Park and Boulevard Heights, where railroads, industry, and tight-knit communities helped shape the city’s south side. We’ll also explore the story of the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary and its impact on the area.

Together, these overlooked histories reveal how much of Atlanta’s past is hiding in plain sight.

Tickets are only $10/person. Non-refundable. All ages!

Remember when we didn’t know what streaming meant and your Thursday night plans involved sitting your butt in front of the TV and laughing for hours? Then you’d show up to school or work the next day and talk about it with your friends like it was breaking news.

I’m honestly making this easy on you guys, bring one friend who loves The Office, one friend who loves 30 Rock, and one friend who loves Park and Rec, and you’re set.
